Samsung has launched the Galaxy E5 and E7 smartphones in India, the first country in the world to get the two smartphones. The company also unveiled its metal-bodied Galaxy A3 and A5 mid-range smartphones in India. The E series smartphones feature 5MP selfie cameras and Super AMOLED screens.
The two smartphones can capture wide-angle selfies and take the shot using palm gesture and voice commands. The Galaxy E5 is priced at R19,300, while the E7, with a 5.5-inch screen, is priced at R23,000. The metal-bodied Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 cost R20,500 and R25,000, respectively. At 6.7 mm, Galaxy A5 is the thinnest Samsung smartphone. Like the Galaxy E series, both Galaxy A series models run on 1.2GHz quad-core processor, have 16 GB internal storage, microSD card support and 5 MP selfie cameras.
