Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has sparked attention online after appearing to mock U.S. President Donald Trump during a live TV appearance. In a viral video, the Queen is seen mimicking Trump’s signature facial expressions while standing right next to him.

The footage was captured during Trump’s brief visit to the Netherlands for the NATO summit, where he spent less than 24 hours. Rather than staying at a hotel, Trump was hosted at the Dutch royal residence, Huis Ten Bosch Palace.

In the clip, Trump is seen chatting with Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander about his stay. “Well, I hope you slept well!” the King says, to which Trump responds, “It was great, the house is… [inaudible],” before turning to smile at the cameras. Just moments later, Queen Maxima also turns and appears to mimic his expression. The moment has quickly gained traction on social media, racking up millions of views, with many viewers joking that the Queen “let her intrusive thoughts win” on live TV.

‘Who is she?’

The internet swiftly reacted to the video. A user said, “With her Jill Biden hair, she should be a little more humble. Who is she without her husband?.” Another noted, “She is obviously mocking him.” “She didn’t. She said ‘gelukkig’ (fortunately) because Trump slept well,” said a netizen. “Clearly, and it’s quite funny too,” claimed another. “The Queen of the Netherlands mocked Trump’s facial expressions. Zero judgment — just pure understanding,” added a netizen. “Did she really do that? Queen Maxima of the Netherlands is believed to be mocking US President Donald Trump, per this video and social media comments.” claimed one user.
