A now-viral bombshell speculation on social media suggests that Pakistan has “backstabbed” Iran despite initially voicing support for the country in its hostile clash against Israel.

Widely circulating tweets on X suggested “Pakistan is allowing Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) of United States to spy on Iran.” The posts came along with an alleged screenshot of BACN 11-9001 being spotted on Flightradar24. Furthermore, they followed the Israeli Air Force bombarding the headquarters of Iran’s state broadcaster IRIC in Tehran on Monday.

Consequently, speculations arose that the coordinates for the location were provided by Pakistan Air Force, which aligned with the allegations tied to the emergence of BACN 11-9001 on Flightradar 24, presumably on June 17 at 4:30 pm UTC. There are no official confirmations on the subject as of now.

US Air Force aircraft in focus to due to explosive social media claims

The Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) is deemed a “flying gateway.” According to an archived report on Forecast International, the BACN is a “forward-deployed airborne communications relay and network-centric information among many military, federal and commercial communications systems.” It is designed for a variety of manned and unmanned aircraft.

The US Air Force aircraft 11-9001 in focus due to the recently surfaced claims is a Bombardier E-11A. As per, Air & Space Forces Magazine, the E-11A “provides communications capabilities to coalition forces on the ground and aircraft in the air” and “extends the range of communications channels and enables better communication among units.”

Allegations of Pak’s collusion with US surface ahead of crucial meeting

The viral posts alleging Pakistan’s potential betrayal of Iran have come to light just ahead of US President Donald Trump’s meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir in Washington, DC. As per the itinerary shared by the White House, the US and Pakistani leaders are set to have lunch at 1 PM (local time) in Cabinet Room on Wednesday, June 18.

Munir is already in America for a five-day visit with a focus on strengthening military and strategic ties between the two countries. Amid his US stay, protesters have slammed his as the “criminal dictator of Pakistan,” for supporting “fascism,” according to a video shared by Nazia Imtiaz Hussain, the Executive Director of The Alliance Organisation.

“Pakistani-Americans in Washington, DC are protesting outside the Four Seasons hotel, reminding General Asim Munir of the crimes he’s committed against the people of Pakistan,” stated a post on PTI’s official X account.

Pakistan previously denied Iran’s claims that it would drop the N-bomb on Israel

Just this week, top Iranian officer General Mohsen Rezaei said in an interview that Pakistan would launch a nuclear attack on Israel if it commences an N-bomb onslaught on Iran.

“Pakistan has assure us that if Israel uses a nuclear bomb on Iran, they will attack Israel with a nuclear bomb,” said the senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran’s National Security Council member. Despite Rezaei’s comments about Pakistan allegedly promising to “stand behind Iran,” Pakistan has declined the claim of dropping nuclear weapons on the Israeli soil.

Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif addressed the issue by dismissing having made any such commitment. “Our nuclear capability is for the benefit of our people and defence of our country against the hostile designs of our enemies. We do not pursue hegemonic policies against our neighbours which are being amply demonstrated by Israel these days,” he wrote on X.

As Iran and Israel are engulfed in a conflict, the Pakistani leader also warned the Western countries, who have largely reiterated their pro-Israel stance even at the G7 Summit in Canada, to be “wary and apprehensive of Israel’s nuclear powers.”
