Following the debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on ABC, a new controversy emerged, with Republican supporters alleging that Harris wore Bluetooth earrings disguised as pearls. The debate, which focused on critical issues like the economy and immigration, took an unexpected turn when speculation arose about Harris’s gold pearl earrings, rumoured to be smart audio devices from the German startup NOVA, rather than traditional jewellery from Tiffany & Co.

The speculation gained traction on social media after the debate at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. Users on X zeroed in on Harris’s earrings, with some—particularly Trump supporters—suggesting that they might be wireless earphones, potentially used to provide her with assistance during the debate. These earrings, which resemble the Nova H1 Audio Earrings, are known for their innovative design that combines aesthetics with wireless audio functionality.

One X user wrote, “It appears Kamala Harris was being coached using earphones embedded in her earrings during the ABC debate against President Trump.” Another user remarked, “Kamala did a great job tonight, but her earrings intrigued me. They reminded me of tech earphones disguised as jewellery.”

Others, however, pointed out that Harris’s earrings were likely Tiffany HardWear pearl earrings, noting differences in design from the Nova H1 audio devices. One user even shared a photo of Tiffany earrings identical to Harris’s, which retail for over $3,300 but are no longer available on Tiffany’s website.

What Are Nova H1 Audio Earrings?

Nova H1 Audio Earrings, featured on Kickstarter, is an innovative wearable that blends traditional pearl earring design with Bluetooth technology. These clip-on earphones provide wireless connectivity, built-in microphones, and features like discreet music listening and access to digital assistants. According to the product description, the earrings project sound directly into the ear canal, and each earring includes high-end microphones for clear phone calls and wind-noise cancellation.

Despite the swirling speculation, neither Harris nor the companies involved have released an official response to the claims.

In an interview with Just News and Forbes, Malte Iversen, managing director of NOVA’s Icebach Sound, commented on the speculation surrounding Kamala Harris’ debate earrings. Iversen neither confirmed nor denied whether Harris was wearing their product. “We’re not certain if Mrs Harris was using one of our earphones. The resemblance is striking, and while our product wasn’t specifically intended for presidential debates, it’s certainly capable of handling such an event,” he told Just News on Wednesday.

Iversen also shared a light-hearted remark, saying, “We’re currently developing a male version and hope to offer it to the Trump campaign soon. Though, finding the right colour is challenging—orange doesn’t pair well with most shades,” he joked.

For those interested in purchasing the Nova H1 Audio Earrings, Iversen mentioned they are currently out of stock.
