A devastating car bomb explosion on Monday claimed the lives of at least 15 people and left dozens wounded on the outskirts of Manbij, a northern Syrian city, according to local civil defense and war monitors.
The blast occurred near a vehicle carrying agricultural workers, killing 14 women and one man, as reported by the local Syrian civil defense. Additionally, 15 women sustained injuries, some in critical condition. However, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported a higher death toll, stating that 18 women and one man lost their lives.
Manbij, located in northeastern Aleppo province, remains a volatile region, witnessing ongoing clashes between Turkish-backed Syrian National Army factions and the US-backed Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.
This incident follows another car bombing in Manbij on Saturday, which killed four civilians and injured nine, as reported by Syria’s state news agency, SANA.
