Remember biohacker Bryan Johnson, who claimed that his biological age was just 18 at 45? Now, another individual is making headlines for the same. Dr Mohammed Enayat, who is based in London and runs a longevity clinic, has claimed that his biological age is just 24. He credits this remarkable result to a combination of vitamin B complex, magnesium, and omega-3 supplements, along with changes in his lifestyle.
“While I believe these supplements have supported my biological age reversal, I credit them as one component in a much broader framework,” Mr Enayat told Business Insider.
Dr Enayat used GlycanAge and TruAge PACE tests to determine his age. While GlycanAge focuses on immune glycosylation and inflammation, TruAge PACE quantifies how rapidly you are ageing at a molecular level using epigenetic data. While these tests do provide an insight into biological ageing, there is currently no universally accepted standard for calculating biological age.
He has been tracking his health for seven years using wearables like Oura ring (tracks holistic wellness and sleep) and Whoop strap (athletic performance and recovery), along with regular blood, urine, and microbiome tests.
Due to a methylation gene defect that puts him at higher risk for blood clots, heart attacks, and strokes, Dr Enayat regularly takes vitamin B complex and folate. These supplements help manage those risks effectively.
“Even without a methylation-related gene defect, I would still consider taking a methylated B complex, particularly during periods of high stress, poor sleep, or intensive training, as these increase the demand for B vitamins,” Business Insider quoted Mr Enayat as explaining.
He also takes magnesium bisglycinate and omega-3 suppplements to make up for naturally low dietary levels. Magnesium has helped alleviate muscle soreness and improved his sleep quality, while omega-3s have played a key role in reducing his biological age.
Vitamin B complex keeps you energised, supports brain function, improves the production of red blood cells, and promotes overall cell health. Magnesium improves muscle and nerve function, supports bone health, and helps regulate blood pressure and blood sugar. Omega-3 supplements are essential for heart and brain health, help reduce inflammation, and support eye health.
