In a heartfelt moment, Indian businessman Gautam Adani shared pictures from his son Jeet Adani’s wedding on February 7. The ceremony, which took place in Ahmedabad, was an intimate affair attended by close family and friends.
Expressing his joy on social media, Gautam Adani shared a message in Hindi, saying, “With the blessings of Almighty God, Jeet and Diva have entered the sacred bond of marriage today. The event was small and private, and we could not invite everyone despite our wishes. I sincerely seek love and blessings for my daughter Diva and Jeet.”
Leading up to the wedding, the couple, Jeet Adani and Diva Jaimin Shah, made headlines for launching an initiative supporting women with disabilities. As part of their wedding celebrations, they showcased their commitment to philanthropy.
As per a statement issued by his team, the billionaire industrialist has decided to keep the wedding simple and also donated INR 10,000 crore. This distinctive wedding gift from one of the richest men in the world will be channelled into various social causes.
The pre-wedding events, which kicked off on February 5, included a lively Bhangra performance with Gurdeep Mehndi, son of the renowned singer Daler Mehndi, who performed a hit song at the celebration.
In a gesture of inclusivity, fashion designer Manish Malhotra collaborated with the NGO Family of Disabled to create special custom-made shawls for Jeet and Diva. According to reports, Diva’s shawl was made from pashmina, while Jeet’s featured pure silk twill fabric, both with hand-painted borders designed by Malhotra.
