The second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will kickstart at 8 pm ISD today as defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on last year’s runners-up Delhi Capitals in Bengaluru’s M.Chinnaswamy stadium.
The opening match of the high-octane tournament could be the perfect tone-setter for Delhi, as they look to go past MI.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah expressed his gratitude as we commence on a new journey today with the start of Women’s Premier League Season 2.
“Our vision was to establish the biggest women’s cricket league, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to turning this vision into reality. Your unwavering commitment and enthusiasm has truly made Women’s Premier League (WPL) into more than just a league,” Shah said in a post on X.
