World number two Roger Federer beat Spain’s Marcel Granollers to set up a third round clash with Bosnian Damir Dzumhur at the French Open in Paris.

Federer suffered a scare in the second set of his clash, overturning a 4-2 deficit into an eventually comfortable 6-2, 7-6, 6-3 win over Granollers.

Meanwhile, his compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka also progressed to the third round, with the number eight seed dropping a set against Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic before winning 6-3, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3.
