KL Rahul who is currently on the Sri Lankan tour with the Indian cricket team is known to have a special bond with his pet Simba. The fluffy Chow Chow dog makes frequent appearances on Rahul’s Instagram and Facebook posts. You’ll be surprised to know that Simba also has an Instagram account of his own. This account has Simba’s images with Virat Kohli, Rahul’s sister and many others. So when the Indian opener decided to get inked on Tuesday again, Simba was obviously the first choice.
The Karnataka batsman got Simba’s face tattooed on his back. Rahul shared the images of this new tattoo on his Instagram account. “Guess who’s got my back folks?? My #lionking,” said Rahul in his post along with two images. The first image was of Rahul getting inked while the second was a close up of the tattoo. “My body is my journal, and My tattoos are my story,” he had said once in an Instagram post. He is not the only member of the Indian team to love going under the ink with Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Murali Vijay and many others sporting inked bodies.

After making a comeback to the Indian team in the Test series against Sri Lanka, Rahul has struggled to find the purple patch in the shorter format. Asked to bat in the middle-order in Yuvraj Singh’ absence, Rahul failed to impress in the first 4 ODIs and was dropped the playing XI for the last match. India will Sri Lanka in the one-off T20I this evening and Rahul would be hoping for an improved performance if given a chance.
