After a decade, the flamboyant former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu is set to be back in the commentary box in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
“Boss, cricket is my first love,” he said and added that if your hobby becomes your job there is nothing better than that.
The IPL 2024 will be the 17th edition. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) organises it. The contest will feature ten teams and will be held between 22 March and 26 May 2024.
This time, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the defending champions. CSK won their fifth title during the Indian Premier League 2023 beating Gujarat Titans (GT). There will be 74 matches.
“The IPL will set the tone for the World Cup. There is no other cricket happening. The eyes of the world are on IPL. This is where you can snatch a berth for the T20 World Cup, not only Indians, even the foreign players,” Sidhu told PTI.

Kohli will start his 17th season with the RCB in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He said he would bank on his skills and experience to translate the dream of winning the IPL trophy into reality this year.
