The smartphone market in India has been one of the most fierce and competitive as in every price point. From Rs 10000 to Rs 100000, the price of smartphones nowadays has reached new levels with the level of competition kept very high at every price point. Keeping the budget smartphone market on its toes, domestic smartphone maker Ziox Mobiles launched a new smartphone in the market which it can only be termed as affordable. On Wednesday, Ziox launched “Astra Star” smartphone at an aggressive price point of Rs 5,899. The smartphone comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display. It has a 2.5D-curved glass sports and packs a 5MP rear camera. The selfie shooter on this smartphone is a 2MP lens. Ziox smartphone “Astra Star” has a 2350mAh battery.
One of the interesting aspect of the smartphone is that it is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor. However, the RAM on this smartphone is kept at 1GB RAM. The internal storage on this smartphone comes with a 16GB, which can be expandable upto 32GB. Out of the box, the smartphone has Android 7.0 Nougat.

Way back in November last year, Ziox Mobiles on Tuesday launched “Duopix F1” with dual-selfie camera for Rs 7,499. In that smartphone, dual-front camera could be seen with 8MP and 2MP auto-focus sensors and flash and an 8MP auto-focus primary camera with flash. It has a 1.3Ghz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB on-board storage. With support for 21 languages, “Duopix F1” also supports facial recognition feature. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system (OS) and houses a 2,400mAh battery. Other connectivity options include dual-SIM connectivity, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
