Xiaomi is said to be working on the next generation smartphones in its Mi Max range. The Chinese company is allegedly working on a sequel to the Mi Max 2, which will be called the Mi Max 3. It was previously reported that the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will sport a massive 7-inch display, which has been now confirmed, thanks to a tipster who leaked almost all the details including other specifications, price, and availability of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3.

In a Weibo post, the tipster shared the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 that include a large 6.99-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160) 18:9 display corroborating the earlier rumours, reports Gizmochina. In addition, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is said to house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 SoC, however, a separate report recently suggested that the device could pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 and a Snapdragon 660 processors, the latter for a premium model. The smartphone will come with two RAM (LPDDR4) and storage configurations – 3GB/ 64GB and 4GB/ 128GB. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is also said to come with the company’s MIUI 9, which is currently based on Android Nougat.

Furthermore, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is expected to pack a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. A leaked image render has, however, pointed towards the presence of a dual camera setup on the rear side. The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is also touted to pack a 5500mAh battery under the hood, as per the Weibo post. The battery will support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 along with the reversible charging functionality. Apart from this information, the Weibo post also sheds light on the price and availability of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3.

According to the post, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be priced at around 1,699 yuan, which is roughly Rs. 17,000. The smartphone is expected to launch in June this year. The prequel, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was launched last year in May and is currently available in India at the lowest price of Rs. 13,999 for the base variant while the top model costs Rs. 15,999.
