Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have already been confirmed by the company’s mobile head DJ Koh, to launch at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in February. As the launch date is nearing, the smartphone has now reached US FCC website for certification. The US FCC listing does not reveal much except for the support for US cellular bands. Alongside, a new smartphone listing has also been reportedly spotted on a Brazilian telecommunication regulator website Anatel that hints at the possibility of Galaxy S9 and its battery information.

According to the FCC listing, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will once again house the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in the US. The smartphone has been reported to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 for the US while it will pack Samsung’s Exynos chipset for the markets outside the US. In addition to this, the listing tells about the US cellular bands that Samsung’s next-generation smartphones are going to support, as we said. This aside, the FCC listing does not reveal anything concrete about the specifications of the smartphone.

In line with this, Anatel, a Brazilian telecommunication regulator, has listed two new Samsung phones, which are not clear if they are Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. However, the listing reveals the battery information that could be true for the smartphone duo. According to the listing, spotted by SlashLeaks, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will come with same battery capacities as their previous generation models – Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The listing shows two Samsung models, one with 3000mAh battery and the other with 3500mAh battery. While the listing does not mention Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ models, the battery capacities mentioned likely belong to both the upcoming smartphones, respectively.

Recently, the Samsung Galaxy S9 specifications were spotted in a massive retail box leak that revealed ample information about Samsung’s devices. According to the leaked details, Samsung Galaxy S9 could bear a single rear camera while the bigger variant Galaxy S9+ is said to come with ‘Super Speed Dual Pixel’ dual cameras with f/1.5 and f/2.4 apertures. The smartphone will support Super Slo-mo videos and an 8-megapixel autofocus front camera. The smartphone will be IP68 certified for dust and water resistance along with iris scanning and wireless charging features. The smartphones will have stereo (dual) speakers tuned by AKG, which is also tuning the earphones that the smartphones will ship with.
