Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Davos, Switzerland to attend World Economic Forum on January 21 and will be addressing a plenary session the next day. The PM will also be meeting Swiss President Alain Berset to discuss trade and business relationship, a free trade agreement between India and European Free Trade Association (EFTA), of which Switzerland is a member. The WEF will be held in picturesque town of Davos which is a four-day affair expected to attract 2,500 participants across the world. World leaders like UK Prime Minister Theresa May, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Premier Paolo Gentiloni are expected to attend the meet. Davos, besides being a popular ski resort offers panoramic and dazzling view of Lake Davos where one can hire paddleboats and kayaks, a breathtaking view of the lush green Sertig Valley and the Fluela Pass which rests between Fluela Wisshorn and Blackhorn. Notably, this will be the first time after a gap of 21 years that an Indian PM will be attending the event.
