Railways jobs for 12th pass candidates pay Rs 36,000: The North-Eastern Railways has invited applications for several posts which include nurse, clerk, stenographer, assistant loco pilot, ticket examiner, goods guard, junior engineer and others. Railways is looking for suitable candidates to fill a total of 307 vacancies, according to reports by Amar Ujala and Punjab Kesari. The educational qualification for most of the post is 12th passed or diploma in concerned area or graduation. The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 while he/she should not be above 42 years of age. Coming to the most lucrative part, the maximum salary will go up to Rs 36,000 for some posts. The candidates will be selected on the basis of tests which will be conducted in various stages. Interested candidates may apply at nwr.indianrailways.gov.in. It must also be noted that no applications will be entertained after October 12. (PTI)

IBPS RRB recruitment 2017 Scale I Prelims: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is most likely to release the IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Prelims 2017 results by October 10, Times Now reported. According to sources, the results are expected to be out by the second week of October. Any update on the confirmation of the exact date will be available on the official site of IBPS. The IBPS RRB Officer Scale I, II and III mains examination is scheduled for November 5, 2017. The preliminary examination for Regional Rural Banks Officer Scale I recruitment was conducted on 9, 10 and 16th September 2017. Due to technical issues, some candidates could not take the preliminary examination. The IBPS for those candidates have organised for a re-exam and fresh admit cards for the same was issued on September 26 and 27 on the official website.(IE)

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has started accepting the application form for CA Common Proficiency Test (CPT) at icaiexam.icai.org. The ICAI will conduct the examination on December 17 at 191 centres across India and five centres abroad, according to the Indian Express. The official notification said, that the CA CPT 2017 will be held in two sessions. In the morning, the Fundamentals of accounting and Mercantile Law paper will be held while the General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude will start at 2 pm. To pass the examination candidates will have to attempt a minimum of 170 questions, as per IE report. (Website)

GATE Registration 2018: The application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 is all set to end today, i.e., October 5. Interested and eligible candidates who have still not registered for the same can do so now as only a day is left for the same. Candidates can fill up the online application form available on gate.iitg.ac.in also known as the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website. This year, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) is conducting the examination which will take place on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2018. The candidates can check detailed notification at GATE’s official website – gate.iitg.ac.in. The exams for GATE 2018 is scheduled to be held on 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th February next year. They will be conducted in two slots: Forenoon, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. (Website)

The SP Jain flagship Global MBA program, for the fifth year in a row, has been ranked in world’s top 20 international programs by Forbes. This ranking is based on the return on investment achieved by graduates. For releasing this list, Forbes compared the earnings of the Class of 2012 in their first five years post-MBA. As per the press release issued by the institute, it reported close to a six-fold increase in salaries – from a pre-MBA salary of USD 9,000 to USD 50,000 (in 2016). KVS recruitment 2017: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has invited application for the recruitment of 546 teachers for the Northeast zone. Candidates who are interested can refer to the official website kvsangathan.nic.in. The last date of the submitting the online application is October 17, 2017. The special recruitment drive has been launched for filling the KVS vacancies across the northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, according to the Indian Express. The KVS has called for application for the post of postgraduate, trained graduate and primary teachers.
