Parliament attack anniversary: The bitter slugfest ahead of the Gujarat polls receded into the background today as political leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his predecessor Manmohan Singh, gathered to pay homage to the martyrs of the 2001 Parliament attack. All the noted parliamentarians from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to former PM Manmohan Singh and from Vice President Venkaiah Naidu to Congress President-elect Rahul Gandhi and other paid tributes to the martyrs of the 2001 attack on Parliament. The nation on Wednesday paid homage to those who sacrificed their lives while defending Parliament House from dastardly terror attack on December 13 in 2001.
