Maruti Suzuki India, the country's largest carmaker, unveiled a whole bunch of new cars at this year’s Auto Expo. Compared to the last editions of the biennial event, the Auto Expo 2016 saw more numbers of all-new Maruti cars from multiple segments including compact SUV, compact crossover and hot-hatch. Here's a list of of all the new Maruti Suzuki cars that have been showcased at the event, and will be launched this year itself.

Maruti Vitara Brezza, unquestionably, is the most-anticipated cars of this year. With the all-new Vitara Brezza, the Indo-Japanese carmaker will enter the fast growing sub-compact SUV segment. It will also be the first ever Maruti Suzuki product that has been conceptualised and developed completely in India. Maruti Suzuki's sub-4 meter compact SUV shares its engine with the Maruti Ciaz i.e. 1.3-litre DDiS 200. This diesel engine, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, churns out a peak power of 89bhp and 200Nm of peak torque. While initially only diesel engined model will be launched, a 1.5-litre petrol model is expected to come at a later stage. First showcased at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2016. This compact crossover will be manufactured in India with high level of localization, and will also be exported to other markets. To be positioned below the Vitara Brezza, the Ignis is based on the Suzuki iM-4 concept, and features aggressive front fascia and tall boy stances. The India-spec model is likely to be offered with two engines – a 1.2-litre K-Series VVT petrol and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel – that also power the Swift and the Baleno. The global model of the vehicle will be available with a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with SHVS technology, and an optional CVT gearbox. Buoyed by the success of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Indo-Japanese carmaker is now planning to bring-in a more powerful and sporty version of the hatchback. Called the Maruti Baleno RS, the vehicle's concept made its global debut at the Auto Expo 2016. The RS version of the Baleno is claimed to deliver high performance, and an exhilarating drive. The RS variant is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder Boosterjet petrol engine that puts out 110bhp of power and 175Nm of torque. The Balneo RS features edgier and sportier. Also on display at the Maruti Suzuki pavilion at the Auto Expo 2016 is a limited edition of the S-Cross. The limited edition Maruti Suzuki S-Cross comes with new features like chrome back door garnish, rear-end spoiler in black paint finish, ORVM garnish in matt black finish and few others.
