Salman Khan's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP) box office collections cruised steadily in the second week and opened the door for superstar to enter the coveted Rs 200 crore mark domestically again – this was achieved 14 days after release of film. It is Salman Khan’s third ever film to cross the Rs 200 crore mark after his 2014 release ‘Kick’ and this year’s other on screen outing ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Reacting to the news trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “And #PremRatanDhanPayo crosses 200 cr in India. 3rd Salman Khan starrer to attain the feat, after #BajrangiBhaijaan and #Kick… (sic)”. Overall, at the end of its 2-week run PRDP collections finished at Rs 206.63 crore in domestic market and Rs 292.63 crore when we add the foreign take. (Bollywood Hungama)

This meant that PRDP opening weekend take of Rs 129.77 cr in the domestic market kept him in No. 1 spot in 2015 in this segment, leaving Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and others behind to corner box office collections glory in 2015. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP) box office collections: On day 5 (Monday), the week started abominably for PRDP as its collections plunged vertically to Rs 13.62 crore, signalling that it is lacking in stamina. But Taran Adarsh was optimistic in his tweet: #PremRatanDhanPayo Thu 40.35 cr, Fri 31.05 cr, Sat 30.07 cr, Sun 28.30 cr, Mon 13.62 cr. Total: ₹ 143.39 cr. Hindi version. India biz. He added, #PremRatanDhanPayo packed a solid (four-day) weekend, maintaining consistent biz from Friday-Sunday. Monday onwards is crucial for the film. This takes the domestic figure to Rs 165.45 crore, while the foreign earnings boost it to Rs 224.19 crore. While on day 10 (Saturday) PRDP collection figure was Rs 6.70 cr, on day 11 it jumped a little to Rs 8.20 crore. Days 12 and 13 logged virtually similar figures at Rs 2.7 cr and Rs 2.9 cr for a total domestic market figure of Rs 201.52 cr. Foreign take added to this number balloons to Rs 287.52 crore.
