Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma issued a new statement to allay the fear of users regarding the fate of the payment app amid the buzz of February 29 deadline. In a post on his official account on X, Sharma assured that Paytm will continue to work after February 29.

‘To every Paytmer,’ Sharma opened his message with direct approach to the key user base. He went on to say that ‘your favorite app’ is operating fine and will continue to do so beyond February 29 as well. Without naming RBI or the restrictions on Paytm Payments Bank, Sharma said that ‘there is a solution’ for ‘every challenge’. He further added that his company is committed to serve the country ‘with full compliance’

Sharma also added a note on the online payment sector in India. He said that India will remain at the forefront of the ‘payment innovation’. He asserted that ‘PaytmKaro’ will be the ‘biggest champion’ of online payments and financial services. Sharma has pinned this post on his profile on X.
