Indian stock markets are seeing a strong rally today, with both major indices surging in afternoon trade. The benchmark Sensex surged by 1.35%, reaching 80,282.23, up by 1,069.70 points. Meanwhile, the Nifty 50 also posted significant gains, climbing 1.27% to stand at 24,343.75, with an increase of 304.40 points

As of 10:00 AM IST, the Sensex soared by 702.67 points, reaching 79,915.20, a 0.89% rise. Similarly, the Nifty 50 rose by 192.10 points to stand at 24,231.45, gaining 0.8%.

Both Sensex and Nifty kicked off Monday’s trading session in the green. The Sensex opened at 79,343.63, rising 0.34%, while the Nifty 50 began the session at 24,122.10, up 0.34%. The Nifty Bank index also started positively at 54,777.10, up by 0.21%. As the new trading week begins, all eyes are now on a heavy lineup of earnings announcements, sectoral movements, and global cues.

Gold prices today: Marginal decline

Gold prices slipped slightly today as easing trade tensions between the US and China reduced safe-haven demand, while a stronger US dollar further weighed on bullion prices. As per GoodReturns, in India, 10 grams of 24-carat gold rate today is priced at Rs 98,820, while 10 grams of 22-carat gold costs Rs 90,001. Buyers opting for 18-carat gold will pay around Rs 73,650 for the same quantity.
