The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, ahead of its launch, purportedly, later this month has taken the internet by storm as few image renders of the new Xiaomi phone has been leaked on targetyoutube.com. The new Xiaomi phone is believed to be the new Redmi Note 5. The renders reveal the design of the alleged Redmi Note 5 equipped with dual cameras, that are rapidly becoming the standard for the budget smartphones in the Indian market. The renders show a bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio and vertically-aligned dual cameras at the back. It is to be noted, unlike the Redmi Note 4, leaked images show that Redmi Note 5 will have a larger screen (5.99 inch with 2160 * 1080 pixels) with 16-megapixel sensors and another 5-megapixel sensors, which has been designed for portrait selfies. The front camera will be 8-megapixel. Redmi Note 5 also sports a sleek full-metal body and a fingerprint scanner mounted at the rear of the phone, similar to its predecessor Redmi Note 4. According to reports, the phone will be available in three colour – gray, blue and black.

The new device was shown to be in two different variants – MEE7S and MET7S and is reported that both the devices will sport different processor. The base model will be powered by Snapdragon 630 processor while the high-end variant will sport Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32 storage for the base model and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage for the other variant. The phone is reported to run on Android Nougat-based MIUI 9 and backed by 4,100 mAh, just like its Redmi Note 4. The battery in Redmi Note 5 will also support fast charging.

In terms of pricing Redmi Note 5, the base model will be available at Rs 15,069 while the high-end model will be priced at Rs 18,008 and is expected to be released in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona later this month.
