Transsion Holdings sub-brand Tecno has added a new entrant to its Camon smartphone lineup – Camon i Air. The Tecno Camon i Air is an upgrade over the recently launched Tecno Camon i and comes with similar specifications such as an 18:9 display and 8-megapixel selfie camera among others. The smartphone has been spotted by a famous offline retailer and it will be only available for the offline market. The Tecno Camon i Air India price has been set at Rs 7,999 and it comes in Champagne Gold and Midnight Black colours.
According to Mahesh Telecom, a renowned Mumbai-based retailer, the Tecno Camon i Air bears resemblance to the Camon i, which was launched last month. The Tecno Camon i Air is a dual SIM smartphone that runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s custom HiOS on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor coupled with a Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. The handset packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Tecno Camon i Air packs a 5.65-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) ‘FullView’ display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. For the cameras, the Tecno Camon i Air sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, and an LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the smartphone that comes with an LED flash as well. Interestingly, the Tecno Camon i had a 13-megapixel front camera, instead. There is a fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear side of the smartphone.
The internals of the Tecno Camon i Air is powered by a 3050mAh battery. The connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, Micro-USB, and USB OTG apart from the 4G VoLTE connectivity. The Tecno Camon i Air measures 152.2×71.7×7.75mm and weighs 134 grams.
