Lenovo owned Motorola has emerged as one of the reliable brands in the smartphone market. With the X series and Z series, the smartphone brand has captured the likes of many. However, it’s the G-series smartphones that have caused the most noise for the brand. Ever since its launch, the G-series smartphones from Motorola have found the perfect balance of decent processors and pocket-friendly price point. But, there is a cheaper option from Moto that packs more punch than its competitors at the given price point. The Moto E series give respectable specification smartphones under Rs 10000.
At the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, it was expected from Motorola that they might unveil or drop hints about the next Moto E series smartphone. However, this has not happened. But, thanks to the popular tipster, Evan Blass on Twitter has dropped major hints about the next smartphone from Moto. As per the leaked image from Evan Blass, it can be seen that the Moto E5 Plus will have an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The next Moto E series smartphone will follow the trend of thin bezels. Moreover, the fingerprint scanner can be seen on the rear end of the device.
There have been other leaks and renders about the Moto E5 Plus, which hint at a dual rea-cameras. However, Evan Blass thinks that may not happen at all and the Moto E5 Plus will sport a single lens camera set up. Although the picture shared by Blass, doesn’t dive a lot into details, a USB Type-C port can be expected on this one with a headphone jack. The last Moto E series smartphone, the Moto E4, and Moto E4 Plus were launched in June last year. And so far, there has not been any hints or timeline about the launch or availability of the smartphone.

What set apart the Moto E4 Plus was the capacity of its battery. Moto E4 Plus had a humungous 5000 mAh battery which would easily give more than a day’s worth of juice. Since there is no word on the battery capacity of the Moto E5 Plus, what we can expect that they do not drop the battery size at least.
