Apple has released a new iOS update for its customers. The US-based giant recently launched iOS 11.2.6, tvOS 11.2.6 and watchOS 4.2.3 for its users. The latest update is more of a bug fixer. Recently, a string of crashes or restarts were reported on the use of Telugu characters in iPhone, Mac and Apple Watch in messages etc. Apple’s new iOS update is aimed at fixing this glitch and is available for users of iPhone 5s and later. Apart from it, the approximately 41-MB update will also be made available to Apple iPad and later and iPod touch 6th generation.

People need to keep in mind that their device needs to be connected to WiFi and has to have more than 50 percent of battery charge for the process to take place. The update log states that the new device will fix an issue where certain character sequences could crash their device.
The iOS bug came to light after an Italian blog Mobile World last week along with websites like The Verge reported that the software would crash when a message is sent to a contact using Telugu characters. It would happen while the software would be processing the characters.
Earlier, The Verge magazine reported that the glitch has impacted watchOS and even several third-party apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Gmail, Outlook. Thankfully, Skype and Telegram were not affected by the issue. The company had last week confessed that they are aware of the issue and it would soon release an update to fix the problem for watchOS4, macOS High Sierra and tvOS 11 versions. Apple has fixed the issue in beta versions of iOS.
