Superstar Salman Khan, at the trailer launch of Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Mumbai, said he throws tantrums even at this age – this gem comes after he spent nearly three decades in Bollywood and built a reputation as one of the strong men of the industry and one of its most commercially successful stars!
In Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, there is a small girl, Harshaali Malhotra, who is from Pakistan (in the movie) and Salman is on a mission to take her back home after she gets lost in India.
“She is so beautiful…a delight to work with. She is unbelievable. She did throw tantrums (but since) she is small so its OK. I throw tantrums at this age,” the 49-year-old Salman Khan said.
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is set for release on Eid next month, around same time when Salman Khan’s hit-and-run case, in which he has been convicted, will come for hearing in the Bombay High Court.
Asked if the hearing will affect film’s promotions, the Salman Khan chose to keep mum.
When Salman Khan first heard the script of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, he said he loved it and wanted to do it as soon as possible.
“I felt this film should not go to anyone as its a beautiful story that has love, emotions, action, drama, simple people and larger-than-life background.”
This is the first film the ‘Dabangg’ actor is producing under his own banner — Salman Khan Films. “I was not much involved in production…script was good, director and heroine were good. Everyone was professional except me. But I was the producer…,” he quipped.
Salman Khan’s brothers — Sohail and Arbaaz – have their own production houses.
Asked what was the need to start his own production house, Salman Khan said, “Sohail has children…Arbaaz and Atul Agnihotri (brother-in-law) have children so even I thought of having my production house (referring to production house as his baby).”
Salman Khan revealed that emotional scenes came naturally to him. “Usually I use glycerin for doing emotional scenes but this time it came naturally to me.”
Kabir, whose previous projects include ‘Kabul Express’ and ‘New York’, has shot the film in locations from Jammu and Kashmir to Rajasthan.
“Kabir likes to shoot all over the world. He is a documentary filmmaker so he loves travelling. As this film is based in India so we have shot all across the country.
“There were a lot of difficulties while shooting this film as we shot at a lot of virgin locations. (But) the journey was beautiful,” Salman Khan added.
