UP Board Exam 2024: The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education high school and intermediate examinations are set to begin today, February 22, 2024. The examination is scheduled to be conducted in two shifts. This is the first time that the timings for the morning shift have been changed. The examination will conclude on March 9, 2024. 

The morning shift exam shall begin at 8:30 am and end at 11:45 am. The timings for the second shift of examination will be 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

UP Board Exam 2024: Surveillance

Across all 8265 exam centers that have been created in the state for the high school and intermediate examinations to be conducted in 75 districts, several supervisors have been deployed on duty to monitor fair examination.

There are around 55 lakh students of class 10 and class 12 who will appear for the examination. According to the Board Secretary, 29,47,311 candidates are registered for class 10, and 25,77,997 candidates are registered for class 12.

These centers will also be under continuous surveillance with live monitoring to ensure cheating-free examination. It has also been stated that there will be a help desk that will offer psychological support to the students appearing for the board exams. Students or parents who might be in need can contact the toll-free number 1800-180-5311 and they will be assisted with solutions to their concerns.

UP Board Exam 2024: List of essential items to carry

Students appearing for the board examination can refer to the list of essential items given below:

  • Admit card – the most important document a student is required to carry to the examination hall is the Admit card. It contains students’ information such as name, roll number, exam date and time, subject name, and exam center details.
  • ID proof – Students are required to carry a valid government-issued photo ID proof such as their Aadhar card and school ID. The ID has to be an original one and not a photocopy.
  • Stationery – Students are advised to carry their pens and other stationery items. They are also expected to carry an extra pen. A ballpoint pen is advisable over gen pens.
  • Water bottle – Students can carry a transparent water bottle filled with plain water.
