WBCHSE result 2018 LIVE: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) declared West Bengal HS or WBCHSE result 2018 today on its official website – wbchse.nic.in and wbresults.nic.in. The students can also check WBCHSE HS result 2018 on Bengal.indiaresults, results.gov.in and exametc.com. Granthon Sengupta from Jalpaiguri Zilla School has topped WBCHSE HS 12th result while Rittwick Kumar Sahoo from Tamluk Hamilton School got the second rank and Timir Baron Das and Saswata Roy got the third rank.

The results were declared at a press conference which began at around 10 AM. Earlier this week, one of the Board representatives had confirmed that all the heads of Higher Secondary Institutions or their authorised representatives can collect West Bengal HS result marksheets and other relevant documents from their respective Distribution Camp from 10.30 am onwards on. The marksheets will be used to the candidates on the same day.

10:25 AM: The second place goes to Ritvik Kumar Sahu. He has scored 98.6% (science stream).

10:23 AM: Once again, girls have outperformed boys in West Bengal Uccha Madhyamik exam. The Topper Granthon Sengupta of Jalpaiguri Zilla Schoolis is from Arts stream. He has scored 99.2% marks.

10:16 AM: The West Bengal HS result 2018 pass percentage stands at 83.75% s. The pass percentage of East Midnapore and Kalimpong is above 90%. Interestingly, the drop out rate on WBCHSE HS 12th resuly has reduced from 2.4% last year to 1% this year.

10:14 AM: The students can also check their result through SMS and apps on Google Play Store. The pass percentage, toppers list and names have not been declared yet. Stay tuned for more updates.

10:10 AM: WBBSE 10th or Madhyamik result 2018 were declared on Wednesday this week. There was an alleged report of circulation of Bengali paper on the exam on WhatsApp from Malda. The board had ordered the probe into the incident. In a similar incident, in the Madhyamik examination, a teacher from a Jalpaiguri government school was alleged of having leaked papers and helped some students.

10:05 AM: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has declared WBCHSE HS result 2018 on its official websites – wbchse.nic.in and wbresults.nic.in. The students can now check their scores.

10:02 AM: The press conference will begin shortly in which WBCHSE 12th HS Result will be announced. We will update West Bengal HS result 2018 pass percentage, toppers list and names as soon as the scores are out.

9:58 AM: The West Bengal Madhyamik result was declared on June 6, 2018. This year a total of 11,02,921 candidates had appeared for WBBSE examinations of which the number of girls participants were higher than the boys. Sanjivini Debnath topped the Madhyamik exam this year by scoring 689 marks.

9:50 AM: Third-party website indiaresults.com says that West Bengal HS result 2018 will be declared at around 10 AM. The Board, however, said that the scores will be out at around 10 AM.

9:37 AM: After a paper leak incident was reported from West Bengal Madhyamik examination, the board had taken strict measures to conduct WBCHSE 12th exam. The examination was conducted between March 27 and April 11 this year.

9:32 AM: According to the details provided by an official of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or WBCHSE, the percentile of a student can be calculated by dividing the number of examinees who have scored less than that student by the total number of candidates appeared in the examination and then multiplying the result by 100.

9:30 AM: The West Bengal Board had already confirmed that from this year, Higher Secondary marksheets will contain performance percentile. The step was taken to give students a fair idea about their position. “To give a fair idea to the students about their position in comparison to other students the council has decided to introduce it from this year apart from other features in the marksheets,” an official had said.

9:27 AM: WBCHSE HS result 2018: How get result via SMS

The students can also get West Bengal HS result through SMS on their phone. For this, they need to send a SMS – (WB12<Space>Roll number and send it to 5676750) or (WB12<Space>Roll number and send it to 58888). Candidates can also get their results via SMS free by registering their roll number and mobile number on exametc.com.

Last year’s statistics

Over eight lakh students appeared in the higher secondary examination last year. Exams were held between March 15 to 29. Last year, the overall pass percentage was 84.20 per cent. Archisman Panigrahi from Hoogly Collegiate School had topped with 99.02 per cent. As many as 3, 302 students scored over 90 per cent marks.
