The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 retest results have been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today, July 1.

NTA had administered the retest for selected 1563 students, who were first given grace marks because they had claimed to have lost exam time. According to officials, 813 out of 1,563 candidates took the exam and showed up for the retest. The retest, however, was held in six different cities but at distinct locations. According to NTA, none of the 813 candidates were able to score 720/720, moving the toppers tally from 67 to 61.

On June 23, five of the six applicants who had previously scored a flawless 720/720 showed up for the retest. However, they repeated high scores upwards of 680. As per data, none of the two candidates from Chandigarh appeared for the exam. A total of 291 students out of 602 appeared from Chhattisgarh, 1 student from Gujarat, 287 out of 494 appeared from Haryana and 234 appeared from Meghalaya’s Tura.

The affected students were given a choice to take the retest or keep their original results, which meant they wouldn’t receive any grace marks. Revisions to the scores of the students who took the June 23 retest will be made. The students who chose not to take the retest, however, will now receive their previous original score, that is, their score without the grace marks.
