The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will be conducting the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) for the 2025 academic session. The examination is scheduled to take place next year on February 2. Candidates seeking admission to select postgraduate programs for the academic year 2025-26 must appear in JAM 2025. There are no age restrictions for taking the examination that will be held in approximately 100 cities across India. Candidates who have either completed their qualifying degree or will be appearing for their final examination in 2025 are eligible to take the exam.

JAM 2025 will be conducted in two shifts in a computer-based format. The forenoon shift will cover subjects like mathematics, chemistry, and geology, while the afternoon shift will include biotechnology, economics, physics, and mathematical statistics.

IIT Delhi, the organizing institute for JAM 2025, will coordinate the admission process for the participating institutes. Only those students who qualify for JAM 2025 can apply for the admission process. For more information, candidates can visit the official website: jam.iitm.ac.in.

The examination is for students seeking admission to various postgraduate programs such as MSc, MSc (Tech), MS (Research), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, Joint MSc-PhD, and MSc-PhD Dual Degree across multiple disciplines offered by institutes nationwide. Admission will be based on the All India Rank (AIR) in each JAM 2025 test paper, the Government of India’s reservation policy, and seat availability.

“The list of academic programs, number of seats, eligibility requirements, and minimum educational qualifications for each program mentioned in the information brochure are subject to change as per the policy of the admitting institutes,” stated the notification from the institute.

JAM 2025 is open to both Indian and foreign nationals. Foreign nationals must meet all the rules and regulations of the admitting institutes pertaining to international students for admission.
