The deadline to register for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 is fast approaching, with applications closing tomorrow, October 22. Candidates who have not yet completed the registration process should visit the official website — consortiumofnlus.ac.in — to submit their forms.

Although registration ends tomorrow, applicants can still modify their test center preferences until October 25 at 11:59 pm, following a recent extension from the original deadline of October 15. 

The CLAT 2025 exam will take place on December 1. The application fee for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs is Rs 4000 for general category students, and Rs 3500 for SC, ST, PwD, and BPL candidates. Please note that the fee is non-refundable.

How to Apply for CLAT 2025:

Step 1. Visit the official CLAT 2025 website — consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2. Click on the registration link and sign up.

Step 3. Log in with your credentials.

Step 4. Complete the application form and upload the required documents.

Step 5. Pay the application fee and submit the form. Make sure to download a copy for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2025:

Undergraduate Program (5-Year Integrated Law Degree): 

  – Candidates must have completed Class 12 or an equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, and PwD applicants).

  – Students appearing for their qualifying exam in March or April 2025 are also eligible.

Postgraduate Program (1-Year LLM Degree): 

  – Candidates must hold an LLB degree or equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, and PwD applicants).

  – Those appearing for their final exams in April or May 2025 are also eligible.

CLAT is a national-level entrance test used for admission to 25 of the 27 National Law Universities (NLUs), with the exception of NLU Delhi and NLU Meghalaya.
