In his first remarks following the controversial sexual abuse row, Haasan MP Prajwal Revanna said that ‘truth will prevail’.

“As I am not in Bangalore to attend the enquiry, I have communicated to C.I.D Bangalore through my Advocate. Truth will prevail soon,” Revanna said in a post on X.

Prajwal is facing allegations related to an alleged sexual abuse case, which is currently being investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Karnataka government. Following the conclusion of polling in the state’s initial election phase on April 26, Prajwal is reported to have fled to Germany.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday alleged that former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda planned the escape of his grandson and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna abroad.

Speaking to reporters, Siddaramaiah said, “Who gives passport and visa for travelling abroad? It’s the Centre. Can he go without the Centre’s knowledge? It was former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda who planned and sent him abroad.”

Gowda’s son and former minister H D Revanna and his son Prajwal are facing sexual harassment allegations after a case was registered against them.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said there is no question of protecting anyone, including the Hassan MP.
