The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will launch its Assembly election campaign in Haryana on Saturday, July 20, with the announcement of party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantees for the state. Sunita Kejriwal, the Delhi CM’s wife, will announce the “Kejriwal Ki Guarantee” during a town hall meeting in Panchkula, Haryana.
Accompanying her will be Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP National General Secretary (Organisation) Sandeep Pathak, and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, according to an AAP statement.
Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP national convener, is currently in judicial custody related to an excise policy case. Sunita Kejriwal has previously campaigned actively for AAP candidates in Delhi, Haryana, and Gujarat during the latest Lok Sabha elections.
Last Tuesday, AAP announced its intention to contest all 90 Assembly seats in Haryana, a state currently governed by the BJP. Despite participating in several elections in Haryana, AAP has yet to achieve electoral success. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, AAP’s candidate from Kurukshetra and state president Sushil Gupta lost to BJP’s Navin Jindal.
