One person out of the 14 who were trapped in a mine in Neem ka Thana district since last Monday night died on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Upendra Pandey, Chief Vigilance Officer at Hindustan Copper Limited, reports NDTV.
A total of 15 Hindustan Copper Limited officials were trapped in the Khetri Copper Corporation mine on Tuesday night.
Workers as well as members of a vigilance team from Kolkata and senior officials of the mine company were trapped when a cage used to carry the personnel fell down after a rope broke, police said. The team had gone for inspection work.
All the rescued were rushed to the SMS hospital in Jaipur for treatment and one was taken to a company hospital for examination, as he was feared dead.
