Ahead of Parliament’s Budget session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted that for the first time since 2014, no foreign entities have attempted to create unrest in India before the start of a parliamentary session. Speaking candidly, he remarked that this is likely the first Parliament session since 2014 without any foreign efforts to create unrest. He noted that in previous sessions, there had always been individuals ready to cause disruptions, and there was no shortage of people within the country to fuel such issues, indirectly criticising opposition parties.

As the government prepares to present its first full budget in its third term, Modi expressed his hope that Goddess Lakshmi, symbolizing wealth, would bless the poor and middle class. He conveyed his confidence that this Budget session would bring renewed energy and drive towards realizing the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047.

Modi emphasised that his government has been operating with a mission-oriented approach, focusing on comprehensive development. He also highlighted that the pillars of innovation, inclusion, and investment have shaped the government’s economic priorities.

Modi stated that during this Parliament session, several important bills and amendments will be discussed and, after thorough deliberations, will be passed into law. He emphasised that women’s empowerment and strengthening Nari Shakti will be a key focus, along with the principles of reform, performance, and transformation.

Looking ahead, he expressed optimism that every Member of Parliament, especially the younger generation, would contribute to advancing the agenda of ‘Viksit Bharat’.
