I love my brand: It’s wonderful to be part of such a renowned and recognised airline such as Cathay Pacific Airways, an airline that is a byword for excellent service and financial strength.
My job is great: I work for an organisation with a set of values I greatly admire. This means I get to work with some outstanding people here in India that always puts a smile in my heart and energy in my step.
Most inspirational moment: There have been many such moments in my life. My parents have been a constant inspiration and my own family has taken on that role now. The time in the British Army when I realised people were following me because they wanted to; the monk in Bodhgaya who taught me humility; working with some outstanding leaders both here in Cathay Pacific Airways and in the army; reading First They Killed My Father by Loung Ung and getting involved ? all have been inspirational moments for me.
The turning point in my career: Joining Cathay Pacific Airways and setting out on a wonderful journey. I have lived and worked all over the world and have played a variety of different roles with Cathay. Moving my office from the Middle East to Mumbai in 2007 was a wonderful turning point.
The first thing I do when I reach the office: Greet the team who come in early, set up my office ? light some incense, turn on my music, get some fresh brewed coffee going and then look at emails and plan the day.
My favourite social networking site: I am not a great social networker but I use LinkedIn and Facebook.
In my free time I like to: Walk, read, listen to music, be with friends, watch movies.
Average number of job offers I get a month: Goes in cycles but I am very happy doing what I am doing.
Brands I wear: A Rolex watch given to me in 1982, T.M. Lewin shirts from London, Church?s shoes, cufflinks from Tiffany?s, my tailor is from Hong Kong ? Poon Kee.
