An Indian Army vehicle came under fire from suspected terrorists in a forward village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Wednesday, officials said.

The attack took place near Phal village in the Sunderbani sector, a known infiltration route for militants. The terrorists, believed to be hiding in a dense forest, fired multiple rounds at the army vehicle passing through the area.

Troops immediately retaliated, and additional reinforcements were deployed to track down the attackers, officials added. No casualties have been reported so far.

The army has launched a massive cordon and search operation in the region to neutralize the threat and secure the area.
