At least four Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers were killed, and several personnel were injured after the bus they were traveling in fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
The incident took place when a hired bus transporting the jawans for the second phase of the assembly polls fell into a gorge near Brel of Watarhaal in central Kashmir.
The injured jawans have been rushed to a district hospital in Budgam for further treatment.
Polling in the area is set to take place on September 25, and campaigning for the election is ongoing in all areas of the district.
