Dimani Constituency Election Result 2023:The vote counting for the Dimani Constituency seat has concluded, with BJP’s Narendra Singh Tomar securing a win for the party from the Dimani Assembly constituency by clinching over 79,137 votes in the elections held on November 17. BSP candidate Balveer Singh Dandotiya lost by a margin of over 24,461 votes, while the Congress candidate only managed to secure 24,006 votes.
This seat witnessed a neck-and-neck battle between the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with the Congress seen trailing behind, and eventually, the BJP emerged victorious. The BJP fielded its heavyweight Union Minister, Narendra Singh Tomar, this time against Congress’ sitting MLA, Ravinder Singh Tomar, while BSP had Balveer Singh Dandotiya as its candidate. In this three-cornered battle, the BJP aimed to gain the seat while Congress attempted to maintain its hold. However, Congress was observed only trailing this time.
Dimani is a state assembly/Vidhan Sabha Constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh, part of Morena Lok Sabha Parliamentary constituency. It is a rural seat. Voting patterns in this constituency are often along caste lines. The seat is influenced by the SC, ST, and OBC communities.

In 2018, Congress’ Girraj Dandotiya won the elections securing 69,597 votes (49.23%) for the party, defeating the BJP candidate Shiv Mangal Singh Tomar who bagged nearly 51,120 votes (36.16%) for the BJP. However, Dandotiya later defected to the BJP. After the byelection, the seat was won by Congress candidate Ravinder Singh Tomar.
In the 2013 Assembly election, Ravindra Singh Tomar was defeated by Balveer Singh Dandotiya of the Bahujan Samaj Party by 2,106 votes. Balveer Singh Dandotiya got 44,718 votes (35.78%) while Ravindra Singh Tomar Bhidausa got 42,612 votes (34.09%) and BJP’s Shivmangal Singh secured merely 33,308 (26.65%).
