The Telangana government has extended the upper age limit for direct recruitment jobs in upcoming recruitments by two years, from 44 to 46 years. The order, issued by Telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari on Monday, specifies that the maximum age limit for positions other than uniform services will now be 46 years for a two-year period.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched the AIIMS-SBI smart payment card on Monday, introducing cashless transactions at the premier hospital. The card eliminates the need for cash payments for all patient services, including the canteen, at AIIMS Delhi. Patients can deposit funds into the card and recharge it at various points across different blocks at AIIMS, according to the health ministry.
Four Naxalites received life imprisonment for the 2014 attack in Tahakwada village, Chhattisgarh, where 15 security personnel and a civilian were killed.
