Yogi Aditynath took oath as the 21st Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh today at the Smriti Upvam, Lucknow in the presence of Governor Ram Naik, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party President Amit Shah and many other senior leaders. Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dr Dinesh Sharma sworn in as the 2 deputy chief ministers of the state along with 44 cabinet ministers including Siddharth Nath Singh, Rita Joshi, Shrikant Sharma, Chetan Chauhan and others. Mohsin Raza is the face of minority in the UP cabinet. This is the first time when the Chief Ministers of all the NDA-ruled states will also attend the ceremony. Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav along with father Mulayum Singh Yadav was also present at the ceremony of the new CM.

In the past, Yogi Adityanath was elected to the Parliament from Gorakhpur for five consecutive terms in 1998, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014 elections. At the age of 26, he was also the youngest member of the 12th Lok Sabha. Here is how the twitterati’s reacted after Yogi Adityanath sworn in as the CM-

Yogi Adityanath who is a five-time Lok Sabha MP from Gorakhpur, was elected BJP Legislature Party leader at a meeting of MLAs in Lucknow on Saturday. After the meeting, he met Ram Naik and staked claim to form the government in the state.
