Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, on Monday yet again attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s in a speech in Gujarat. During his visit to Ahmedabad, Rahul kicked off his address by saying every person in Gujarat is fighting a revolution because, since last 22 years, the state is being ruled by few big industrialists. He said that the government’s job is to give employment, but the incumbent government has failed miserably on this front. Saying that every selfie in India gives employment to China, Gandhi said that most of the things that you see around you are not made in Gujarat or even in India despite the fact that PM has been trying to champion indigenous manufacturing. Gandhi said that this failure has led to jobs not being created in enough quantities in India. He further said that the voice of Gujarat can’t be bought, in reference to a political leader alleging that BJP offered him Rs 1 cr to join it. Rahul Gandhi also said that PM is favouring 4-5 big industrialists only. He added that while rich industrialists’ loans can be waived, those of the poor cannot, under PM Modi dispensation – he invoked the name of beleaguered business baron Vijay Mallya.
