Kia Motors —
Magical Inspirations, Stunning Designs
Verdict: Kia Motors’ first brand campaign for India focusses on its design inspirations — the coming together of an astronaut, a tiger, a hummingbird, a few ballerinas and soccer players. While unusual, its attempt to establish the brand philosophy that ‘magical inspirations create stunning designs’ ends up looking esoteric.

Coca-Cola —
#SayItWithCoke
Verdict: In this TVC, Coca-Cola takes its #ShareaCoke campaign forward — one that urged people to share the drink with their ‘bro’, ‘mom’, ‘boss’, ‘bae’ and the like. Paresh Rawal as the hawk-eyed landlord and Ranbir Kapoor as the easygoing tenant make the TVC, crafted by McCann Worldgroup India, highly watchable.

Brand Factory —
#BuraNaManoDiscountHai
Verdict: Brand Factory’s new campaign encourages people to play Holi in brand new clothes because of the all-year-round discount offered by the retail chain. Created by Publicis, the TVC shows a prisoner unwilling to be released from jail on Holi, afraid that his brand new clothes would get stained. Not a very convincing plot or execution.

Van Heusen —
Carry Your World
Verdict: Conceptualised by Famous Innovations, the TVC shows how the Van Heusen handbag can be a woman’s constant companion at various settings, be it the workplace, a cafe or a night club. Brand ambassador Jacqueline Fernandez lends some style to the TVC, but from a creativity point of view, it does not pass muster.
