Ramky Infrastructure on Wednesday announced that it has entered into two contracts with Greater Chennai Corporation, Chennai, Tamil Nadu for reclamation of Kodungaiyur Dumping Ground through biomining. “We are pleased to inform that the company has entered into two contracts with Greater Chennai Corporation, Chennai, Tamil Nadu for “Reclamation of Kodungaiyur Dumping Ground through Biomining” (Packages 2 and 5). These contracts have enhanced the Capability of Ramky Infrastructure Limited in the field of providing eco infrastructure solutions to the society and nation at large,” the company said in a regulatory filing.

It further added that the time period by which the two orders are to be executed is 2 years and 4 months. The two orders, it said, are for a total consideration of Rs 39.88 crore and Rs 176.77 crore (exclusive of GST). 

Earlier this month, the company had also announced that its board of directors has accepted the resignation tendered by Chivukula Vasudev as Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of the company and the board relieved him from the position with effect from the closing of business hours of 4 March, 2024. 

In February, Ramky Infrastructure had posted its third quarter earnings with profit growth of 436.47 per cent at Rs 36.48 crore as against Rs 6.80 crore during the year ago quarter ended December 2022. Sales, meanwhile, rose 5.70 per cent to Rs 440.72 crore in the Q3 as against Rs 416.97 crore during the same period last year.
