Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced three key leadership changes. Nachiket Pantvaidya has been appointed as the Business Head of Sony Entertainment Television (SET). Pantvaidya, who joins SET while continuing his role as General Manager at Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP), has a history of managing P&L for SET and boosting revenues through iconic franchises.
Ajay Bhalwankar, who has led Sony Marathi since 2014 and previously served as chief creative director for Sony Entertainment Television, will now also head Sony SAB. Bhalwankar’s leadership has helped Sony Marathi achieve a 9% market share, and he will apply his experience to Sony SAB.
Tushar Shah, currently the Business Head of English, Bengali, and Infotainment Channels and Chief Marketing Officer at SPNI, will take on additional responsibilities. Shah will now oversee Sony MAX, Sony MAX HD, Sony MAX 2, Sony WAH, and Sony PAL, expanding his role beyond Sony PIX, Sony AATH, and Sony BBC Earth.
