Popees Baby Care has opened its 86th store in Karamana, Trivandrum, as part of its expansion strategy in South India. The company, which started operations in 2003, plans to open 42 additional stores by FY26, taking its total to 118 outlets.

The Trivandrum store launch adds to the brand’s existing presence across Kerala and supports its goal of entering new markets including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and metro cities across India.

Popees’ product portfolio includes clothing for infants and children up to six years, as well as baby care items such as baby oil, soap, wipes, shampoo, and fabric wash. It also offers maternity products.

According to the company, baby clothing continues to be the largest revenue segment, but non-apparel categories are growing as the brand expands into packaged baby care products.

The company currently operates three manufacturing units with a monthly capacity of 5 lakh garments and employs over 2,000 people.

Speaking about the store opening, Shaju Thomas, Chairman and MD of Popees Group, said the company is focusing on scale through physical retail and aims to grow its presence across India.
