What is the one thing you like to do when not working?

I love spending time with my family when I am not working. Chats with my kids are super relaxing just to know what is happening with their school, friends, and soccer. They are growing up and at the age that they want to know what’s happening in my workspace as well and their perspective is just fun. My wife is very curious about my work and she does give extremely valuable insights and out-of-the-box ideas. Also, going for a morning run or workout is relaxing and I try to do that 4-5 times a week.

How do you spend your weekends?

Saturdays are working for me. I prefer to spend time on organisation building, and HR matters – interviews, training, etc. and connect informally with industry leaders, and read and understand a few other organisations’ journeys. My Saturdays get quite busy on the contrary, as I pack up a lot of missed agenda items and try to finish them with the team.  Saturday evenings and Sundays are mostly with family blending a dinner, enjoying an F1 race,  sometimes a stand-up comedy or any other event, or catching up with friends.

What are your favourite gadgets?

When working it’s the Laptop as it gets me pretty much all that I need. I prefer using a laptop over my smartphone for office work. Otherwise, my smartphone pretty much gets me through all the action required, and for workouts, my Apple watch is extremely useful.

Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?

Well, thinking out wild – it can swing from being an artist (percussion, singing – although not so good as I realise) or media. I thought of Administrative services while in college but did not pursue it as the business management field excited me more. But honestly, I have enjoyed my career thus far. I have been able to set-up teams or organisations in almost all the roles. And I like that part of starting from base and bringing up to scale. That said, I enjoy the tech and product side of business and it’s possible that I could have ventured in that side earlier in my career.

Which is your favourite vacation spot?

Europe – particularly Montreux and London, recently Africa got added to the list. In India, its more to do with the season Goa and Rajasthan is always something that excites me.

A TV show, a movie, and an ad campaign you highly recommend watching

On OTT I liked Squid Game, Money Heist and other content from time to time. Few of my favourite movies are Forrest Gump, The Godfather, and Swadesh. On AD campaigns – Cadbury’s “Asli swad zindagi ka,” Seagram’s “Men will be men,” and the Fevikwik ads stand out for their impactful storytelling and memorable messaging.
