Weekends are all about downtime. After a week full of work to meet deadlines, everybody needs some breather to relax and recuperate. From watching a favourite web series to planning a vacation, weekends are designated as family and me time. Rajeev Juneja, managing director and vice-chairman, Mankind Pharma, talks to BrandWagon Online about his weekends, favourite vacation destination and more.
What is the one thing you like to do when not working?
Outside of work, one of my favorite pastimes is listening to podcasts, providing both entertainment and a means to stay informed. Additionally, I find enjoyment in going to the gym and watching movies in my leisure time.
How do you spend your weekends?
On weekends, I frequently dedicate time to creating informative content and sharing videos with my team. I also find relaxation in activities like going to the gym and indulging in strategic thinking and brainstorming sessions. When solitude prevails, I cherish moments of reflection and idea generation, often finding that the best ideas emerge during a bath, a solitary walk, or in the quietude of the gym. The gym, in particular, consumes a substantial portion of my weekend, usually spanning about 3 to 4 hours.
What are your favorite gadgets?
My favorite gadgets are undoubtedly the iPhone and iPad. The seamless integration, user-friendly interface, and the versatility of these Apple devices make them essential components of my daily life, whether for communication, productivity, or entertainment.
Given an option to choose another career, what would it be?
If I had the opportunity to explore another career path, I would undoubtedly choose to work on initiatives aimed at reducing pollution. This field holds immense potential for creating a positive impact, particularly in addressing challenges such as waste accumulation, electronic waste, and plastic pollution.
Which is your favorite vacation spot?
Paris and Dubai hold a special place in my heart as favorite vacation spots. Paris, with its timeless charm, offers a rich cultural experience and iconic landmarks. On the other hand, Dubai’s modernity, luxury, and vibrant atmosphere provide a unique and dynamic vacation destination. Both cities offer distinct experiences, creating a perfect balance between classic elegance and contemporary allure.

The movie “Invictus” is highly inspiring, offering valuable lessons. Similarly, “Ford versus Ferrari” is remarkably inspirational, imparting insights into learning and management.
