Members of the State Bank of India Officers? Association have threatened to go on a two-day strike on June 10-11 if the management does not pay heed to their demands.

The officers are already going for a daylong strike on June 6, protesting against the management?s policies on issues including pension scheme, inadequate staff, termination of the contract system and regulated working hours for the officers.

?We would hold a two-day strike, starting June 10, if the management fails to take note of the issues involved,? said Shakti Halder, general secretary of the State Bank Officers? Association (Bengal circle).

Earlier, State Bank employees had withdrawn their agitation programmes, including the two-day strike in February, as the management promised to consider their demands.
