The second container freight station of the Century Plyboards at the Kolkata port is likely to become operational this fiscal. The first CFS of the company has started functioning earlier this year.
?The company has acquired 80,000 sqm for this purpose. The work is progressing very fast to meet the deadline,? said Sajjan Bhajanka, MD of the company. The company?s capacity expansion plan for Star Cement to 4 million tonne from 1 million at present is on track and is likely to be completed by 2010.
The company has invested around Rs 1,100 crore, of which around Rs 360 crores will be from internal accrual and rest will be funded by the financial institutions.
